Agave Dish Scrubber

This Sayula scrubber is handmade from a co-operative in Mexico. It is made from the leaves of the “maguey” agave. This scrubber is great to remove that cooked-on stuff stuck to pots, pans and dish-ware, and also to clean fruits and vegetables. Its non-scratch fibres are safe to use on all sorts of surfaces.

Their products are biodegradable and use plant species that naturally grow in the region, don’t require much water or use of harmful practices, like the use of pesticides and fertilizers. They work directly with rural communities to help them improve their quality of life by providing stable income and fair prices that directly benefit people in these communities.  

End of life: Once worn out, the agave fiber can be composted or buried in the garden.
